On August 4, renowned South Korean actor Ji Chang Wook returned to the Philippines for another fan meeting with the clothing brand, 'BENCH.' This marked his first event in 2 years since his 'Reach You' fan meeting in 2022.
The actor opened the show with an incredible vocal performance of "Kissing You," an OST from '7 First Kisses.' Before getting into the Q&A, Chang Wook delivered a short speech, thanking his fans for welcoming him once again: "It's been a while since I went to the Philippines. Thank you for coming after such a long time as well and for the warm welcome."
"I felt so good doing this," the actor said on doing the shoot with BENCH. "It was actually a fun shoot. The post-production of this shoot is good, and I'm proud of the outcome. I have mixed emotions."
When asked if he has any upcoming projects, Chang Wook enumerated the dramas he has lined up for this year, starting with the movie 'Revolver,' slated for release on August 7. He will also be appearing in a drama titled 'The Queen Woo,' which is also scheduled for release later this month. "And in the latter part of this year, 'Gangnam B-Side' will be released on Disney+," he said. "Starting next month, I'm going to be on a shoot for a new drama titled 'Sculpture City'."
During the event, there was a segment wherein fans got to be on the same stage as Chang Wook. Here, they were able to ask some questions to him. One fan asked for advice on shyness. "I'm kind of shy to be giving advice to people... I think it's important to be yourself and to find people who love you," he relayed. "You don't really need to try hard for people to like you. I think it's more than enough when you're being yourself."
"This is a hard question. I believe it's better to love someone who makes you comfortable, someone who cares about you," he said when someone asked about overcoming fear in relationships.
One then asked "how to be successful in both work and studies and in juggling them." "I believe that there are so many things that are just difficult. Everything is really hard, but enjoying what you do is the most important," he noted.
The last fan asked Chang Wook "how to be of service to other people even in a little way." He admitted that it's also a question he's been thinking about. "Actually, I don't really try to impress other people. I'm the type of person who wants to give happiness, comfort, and a resting place to others. That's something I'm working hard on. It cannot be to everyone, but there must be someone who I can be like that to that person. I believe that the fact that you're already thinking about this talks a lot about yourself," he added.
