The lawyer who allegedly provided information about Tzuyang's past to cyber wrecker Gu Je Yeok speaks up + another cyber wrecker retires from YouTube

A lawyer accused of exposing YouTuber Tzuyang's past has spoken out.

On July 22, lawyer Choi posted a blog entry titled "Hello, this is Lawyer Choi OO."

Choi was known to be the legal representative of Tzuyang's ex-boyfriend. Choi wrote, "Thinking about the Gu Je Yeok incident still makes me angry. Reporting tax evasion was a public tip-off, but I didn't expect it to be used to extort money."

He added, "There are many parts that are not true, but regardless of the reason, I am sorry. I can't go into specifics, but it's frustrating that four years of events became fixed as being true based on a few phone calls with me." Choi continued, "I intend to live humbly. I will provide free legal consultations and support for those in legal blind spots. My office is always open, so please reach out or visit. I'll offer a warm cup of coffee and assistance to those in need."

One netizen criticized, "Why do you blame the cyber wrecker? Tzuyang is the victim who met the wrong man. You were the one who did wrong by telling her past to the cyber wrecker. Why do you feel so unjust? You're the same as Gu Je Yeok, leaving excuses." In response, lawyer Choi shared, "Please don't link me with Gu Je Yeok. He should've stopped the investigation if there was nothing to publicize. I am also very disappointed he acted that way. I misjudged his character."

He stated, "If a further statement is needed, I will make it through my blog. For now, I am preparing sincerely as I expect to be contacted by the Bar Association or investigative agencies. I can explain everything without hesitation."

Meanwhile, on July 22, YouTuber Caracula announced his retirement.

In his video, Caracula said, "After being active as a YouTuber for the past five years without rest, I am stepping down to convey my sincerity. All recent allegations are my fault. I foolishly responded by involving innocent kids out of fear after being accused of being a blackmailer overnight."

He continued, "I have no reason to lie anymore. I did not threaten or extort Tzuyang. Even while talking to Gu Je Yeok, had I known Tzuyang's story, I would not have spoken lightly. This too is my fault."

Caracula revealed, "I received money from a person known as Suit, who is currently imprisoned for fraud. In 2021, my channel was about cars, not social issues. I introduced Suit to another crypto businessman, 'A,' whom I knew as an import car dealer. Suit raised tens of billions of KRW (millions USD) for a new business and gave me 30 million KRW (21,700 USD) for exaggerated reasons like media response, which I used personally. Suit's business turned out to be a scam, and he is now in prison. 'A' is also on trial for a crypto-related case."

He added, "I wanted to hide it, but I won't conceal my crimes and will fully cooperate with the scheduled investigation. If I am punished, I will accept it willingly. I am truly sorry. I have ruined myself and will live the rest of my life in reflection and repentance."

Caracula also said, "I asked the lawyer if there was a fact of receiving money, but foolishly lied that there was none. I have now confessed. I thank the lawyer who stood by me despite being criticized for associating with me."
