Marie Claire Taiwan revealed their July cover issue with Jessica Jung titled 'Journey To Glory'. In this double cover issue, Jessica shares many things starting from her career to her personal life.
With a theme of "Olympic Games," Jessica has been transformed into a heroine for this shoot. Despite this being different from Jessica's usual magazine shoots, she managed the concept by balancing both her elegance and strength. She shared that she liked showing this different side of herself. Dressed in a beautiful denim two-piece from Ralph Lauren, Jessica looks like a warrior princess with the swords surrounding her.
Debuting at the age of 18, Jessica has come a long way since then. She shares that no matter what, she follows her heart and will continue to do so. Despite the outcome, she never spends time in regret and only moves forward.
'Follow My Heart, I will only look forward without any regrets. I trust my heart and act according to its guidance. No matter what the result is, I will not regret it.'
When asked to give a message to 18-year-old Jessica, she says that though it will be difficult, nothing in the world is ever easy but after experiencing it, the results will be worth it. If she could go back in time, she would give herself this advice.
'Nothing in the world is easy, but after experiencing it, everything will be worth it. The most weight you should get rid of is what others think of you. Please be yourself wholeheartedly.'
Speaking about herself, Jessica shares that her MBTI is ESTJ. Despite fluctuating between being shy and extroverted, Jessica says that she finds her MBTI results accurate. Working in the entertainment industry, Jessica's personality can be domineering. She finds herself taking charge often, even among her friends. Jessica shares that whenever she travels with her friends, she always plans ahead. She shares that since she is planning for her friends, she feels comfortable. Speaking of her friends, Jessica shares that when she makes a friend, she is committed to it for the long run. Her close friends call her 'Power J'.
'In the eyes of my friends, I am the most loyal person. When I am determined to have a deep friendship with someone, it will be a long-term relationship. I will never go back on my words. Everyone calls me Power J.'
In her recent concert in Taipei, Taiwan, Jessica sang the Chinese song 'At least I have you'. The fans sang along with Jessica, making it a sweet moment. Over the years, the fans have created a special bond with Jessica and have been by her side during both ups and downs. Jessica counts herself as lucky for having their support aside from friends and family.
'I am a very lucky person. When I was at a low point in my life, my family, friends, and Golden Stars were all around me to support me and give me strength.'
Jessica also reveals that her outlook for when she is going through tough times is to not get too caught up in it. She focuses on the future instead of worrying about the past.
'Everyone goes through difficult things, but I tell myself, don't get caught up in the difficulties. Look to the future and don't dwell on the past.'
