Soyou and JungGiGo are teaming up once again for a duet, following their hit song "Some".
The duo's new track, "Love Recipe," will be released on July 4 as the first single of the Coffee Bean Project. This project, led by renowned hitmakers Choi Gap Won and Kim Do Hoon, aims to reinterpret popular duet songs they have previously worked on, giving them a fresh twist. Much like how the roasting method can alter the flavor and aroma of coffee, this project seeks to evoke nostalgia while offering a new musical experience.
Originally sung by Gummy and Bobby Kim in 2010, "Love Recipe" topped the music charts with its simple lyrics and catchy melody. For this project, producer Kim Do Hoon has personally re-arranged the song, sparking curiosity about how the original creator's reinterpretation will sound.
Soyou and JungGiGo will bring their voices together once again to reimagine "Love Recipe." Given the massive success of their 2014 hit "Some," which dominated various music charts, there is heightened anticipation for the musical chemistry the two artists will showcase with their matured voices and enhanced expressiveness.
Soyou debuted with the group SISTAR in 2010 and has since released various albums, continuing to connect with the public. She has also actively participated in diverse projects, such as singing for the OST of the MBC drama 'Joseon Attorney' and competing in Mnet's large-scale karaoke survival show 'VS.'
JungGiGo, who debuted in 2008 with the single "Byebyebye," has released several well-loved tracks. Known for his unique emotional style, he has also contributed to the soundtracks of dramas such as 'Doctor Slump,' 'A Good Day to Be a Dog,' and 'Strong Girl Nam Soon,' continuing to captivate listeners.
