As 2NE1 approaches their 15th debut anniversary, speculation is mounting about a possible reunion.
On June 25 KST, YG Entertainment confirmed, "Yang Hyun Suk, the executive producer, is set to meet with the members," but added, "There is nothing else we can confirm at this time."
According to a media report, the 2NE1 members and Yang Hyun Suk are expected to discuss a potential reunion and a 15th anniversary project.
Last month, news surfaced that Yang Hyun Suk and leader CL had met. At the time, YG stated, "It was not an official company meeting, and we cannot confirm the details."
In May, 2NE1 celebrated their 15th anniversary by participating in a group photo, raising fans' hopes for a reunion.
2NE1 debuted in 2009, creating numerous hits such as "Fire," "I Don't Care," "Clap Your Hands," "Lonely," "I Am the Best," and "Missing You." The group disbanded in November 2016.
In April 2022, they made headlines by performing together at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the United States.
