Billboard’s ’21 under 21' list was recently released, notably featuring NewJeans as the only K-pop group to make the list.
Billboard’s ‘21 under 21’ list was created to honor the accomplishments of young musicians based on the influence they’ve had on the music industry so far, and to highlight their future potential as well.
The 2024 list describes NewJeans as having established a “singular presence in K-pop since debuting just two years ago,” and goes on to list the group’s achievements. “[NewJeans has scored] three top 10 hits on the Billboard Global 200, four on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, five on the Hot 100 and six on World Digital Song Sales.”
This achievement also comes only 4 months after NewJeans was designated as Billboard’s Women in Music Group of the Year.
NewJeans is currently still topping the charts with their latest release, ‘How Sweet.’
