Actress Go Jun Hee expressed her frustration over the allegations of her involvement in the 'Burning Sun' scandal, stating, "I don't even know where Burning Sun is."

On June 11, Go Jun Hee appeared on the YouTube channel 'Studio Suze' in the 'Don't Forget Your Breakfast 2' segment, where she clarified the rumors surrounding Burning Sun.

During the show, the host, Jang Sung Kyu, mentioned, "I'm asking since it actually had nothing to do with you. It was recently talked about on BBC...Bu...Burning Sun...Your name kept showing up as a related search..."

In response, Go Jun Hee erupted, saying, "Oh, those sons of Bi*ches." She continued, "I don't even know where Burning Sun is and I've never been there. I've been saying for years that it wasn't true, but no one listened, and only the edited parts were aired."

Go Jun Hee mentioned that a single photo with Seungri, a former member of Big Bang, was the rumor's origin. She explained, "That photo was taken at a breast cancer campaign event we both attended. Seungri, who was under the same agency as me at the time, asked for a selfie, and I took one with him. I didn't know he had posted it since we didn't follow each other on Instagram."

Go Jun Hee also expressed her disappointment with her then-agency, YG Entertainment. She said, "I thought it would be resolved cleanly if the company clarified the issue, but they abandoned me. As an actor, image is everything, and they couldn't even release a single article to say it wasn't true. That's why I left the company, hired a lawyer on my own, and explained the situation."

Go Jun Hee revealed that she missed the proper timing to clarify the rumor, which led to her dropping out of planned projects and her mother developing vertigo. She teared up, saying, "I realized that the hardest thing to prove is something that isn't true."

Go Jun Hee suffered from the Burning Sun rumor for years due to that single photo with Seungri. During the 2019 Burning Sun scandal, a conversation in Seungri's group chat was revealed, which included the message, "○○ actress is in New York, so she can't attend the investor meeting." This led to online speculation that the actress in question was Go Jun Hee, who was in the same agency as Seungri.

Subsequently, Go Jun Hee filed a police complaint against netizens who posted malicious comments related to Burning Sun, accusing them of defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.

Meanwhile, the Burning Sun scandal has been re-examined as the British public broadcaster BBC released a related documentary on its YouTube channel on the 19th of last month.
