The era of the third-generation of K-pop has been nothing short of revolutionary. Beyond their vocal and dance prowess, many third-generation idols are actively participating in song production, with some even achieving full membership in the Korean Music Copyright Association (KOMCA).
Established in 1964, KOMCA plays a pivotal role in protecting the rights of music creators in South Korea. Becoming a full member of KOMCA is a significant milestone for any musician, symbolizing recognition and respect within the industry. Full members are entitled to participate and vote in the annual general meeting and may also be nominated for positions on the board of directors.

SUGA [2018]
Suga, the talented rapper, has contributed to numerous BTS’ songs and achieved full membership in KOMCA in 2018, being the first member of the boy band to do so.
WOOZI, B.I, and CHANHYUK [2019]
Known for their songwriting abilities, B.I, SEVENTEEN’s Woozi, and AKMU’s Chanhyuk were promoted as full members of KOMCA in 2019.
RM and J-HOPE [2020]
