"Since becoming a dad, I feel my scope for acting has expanded. I can now take on father roles and approach characters with a wider perspective," he explained.

Ryoo announced his marriage to a Slovakian artist ten years his junior in June 2020, alongside news of their daughter's birth. After spending some time in France post-birth, the family returned to Korea in 2021, where Ryoo has been actively engaged in both his career and hands-on parenting.
