The new girl group BABYMONSTER from YG Entertainment has been making waves globally, as evidenced by their consistent ranking on the U.S. Billboard charts for six consecutive weeks.
According to Billboard's latest data released on May 14, BABYMONSTER's debut mini-album’s title track "SHEESH" placed 23rd on the Billboard Global (Excl. U.S) and 57th on the Billboard Global 200 chart.
Starting from its initial ranking of 35th and 87th respectively on April 9, the song has maintained a steady presence in the charts, proving its ongoing popularity. This ranking is particularly significant as it reflects streaming and download data collected from over 200 territories worldwide, indicating BABYMONSTER’s expanding influence in the music industry.
Moreover, "SHEESH" has also achieved notable success on various global music charts, including Spotify’s Global Daily and Weekly Top Songs charts, where it has continuously charted for 43 days and five weeks, respectively, approaching a total of 80 million streams.
The music video for "SHEESH" has set records on YouTube, achieving 100 million views in just 10 days and 200 million views in 33 days, marking the fastest time for a K-pop girl group debut song. The performance video, praised for showcasing their impressive performance skills, is also nearing 100 million views.
BABYMONSTER recently kicked off their first fan meeting tour with sold-out performances on May 11 and 12 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan. The group is set to continue expanding their global presence with upcoming stops in Jakarta, Indonesia on June 8; Singapore on June 15; Taipei on June 23; and Bangkok, Thailand on June 29 and 30.
