Congolese TV personality Jonathan is a step closer to obtaining his Korean citizenship and is receiving praise after passing the Korean History Proficiency Exam.
On March 13, Jonathan wrote on his social media, "I'm very grateful and happy that I can study in such an enjoyable way, learning about life through history and developing. It's strange but unlike before, I looked forward to taking the exam since I put in a little bit of effort. I've come to understand the meaning behind the saying that confidence comes from a lot of practice. It's a bit disappointing that it's only Level 2! But there's another good opportunity in May. I'll study with joy again and aim for Level 1!"
After hearing the news that Jonathan had passed the Korean History Proficiency Exam Level 2, his friends and Korean netizens left comments praising the TV personality. Code Kunst wrote, "Jonathan, you're awesome," Kim Dong Hyun also commented, "Jonathan is the best of the best," TV personality Fabien also commented, "Nice!"
Meanwhile, Jonathan has been sharing on various broadcasts and shows that he is preparing for naturalization as a Korean citizen. He shared, "When I talk about naturalization, inevitably, I have to talk about the mandatory military service. Military service isn't a big issue for me. If I am accepted (as a Korean citizen), I think it's only natural that I fulfill the duty with gratitude, I believe I must serve in the military."
Korean netizens commented, "Are you seeing this Yoo Seung Joon? Even a naturalized person would gladly go to the military but you fled? Nathan fighting," "He wasn't Korean? lol," "Congrats Jonathan," "I'm not surprised because Jonathan was good at answering on variety shows. I already thought he was Korean," "Jonathan is so cute," "We need to acknowledge Jonathan as Korean. He knows Korean history so well that it's impressive. He's just Korean," and "I love Jonathan."
