BTS's Jungkook won the 'Song of the Year' at the '2024 BIC Seven Awards.'
The magazine 'BIC Seven E News', which covers music, TV, series, and Latin culture, announced the winners of the '2024 BIC Seven Awards' held online.
The nominees for 'Song of the Year' included "Die For You" by The Weeknd X Ariana Grande, "Flowers" by Miley Cyrus, "Rush" by Troye Sivan, "What Was I Made For?" by Billie Eilish, and "Water" by Tyla.
Jungkook swept up various awards at major music award ceremonies with "Seven" last year. "Seven" won 'Song of Summer' at the '2023 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA),' 'Best Song' at the '2023 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA),' and 'Top Global K-Pop Song' at the '2023 Billboard Music Awards' (BBMAs).
In addition, "Seven" was selected in 'The 100 Best Songs of 2023: Staff Picks' by 'Billboard' and 'The Best Songs and Albums of 2023: Official Charts Staff Picks' by the 'Official Charts' as well as 'The 100 Best Songs of 2023' announced by the U.S. music magazine 'Rolling Stone'.
Not only that, "Seven" reached 10th place on the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)'s '2023 Global Single Chart', making it the only Korean song to enter the top 10.
Earlier, Jungkook became the first and only Asian artist to win 'The Male Artist of the Year' at the '2024 People's Choice Awards (PCAs),' a major U.S. music award ceremony.
In January, Jungkook was selected as the final winner in the 'International Male Artist of the Year' category at the '2024 Pure Chart Award', a digital award ceremony hosted by the French radio station 'RPM' and the site 'Pure Chart', which has been providing France's best music information for over 20 years.
