Singer and hip-hop artist Hong Da Bin (DPR Live) has taken a significant step by filing a formal complaint against his former agency, Dream Perfect Regime Co., Ltd., its former CEO, Mr. Kim, and Regime International Co., Ltd. The complaint revolves around allegations of 'unfair distribution of profits,' 'non-payment of settlement money and settlement data,' and 'non-payment of world tour appearance fees and settlement materials.'
CTYL, Hong Da Bin's current agency, issued an official press release on the matter on January 30 KST, stating, "On January 29 KST, Hong Da Bin initiated legal proceedings against Dream Perfect Regime Co., Ltd., former CEO Mr. Kim, and Regime International Co., Ltd. via Kim & Chang Law Office." The agency expressed its commitment to protecting the rights of its artist and ensuring that justice prevails in this case.
In their statement, CTYL affirmed, "Our company and the artist fully comprehend the gravity of the situation and have chosen to pursue legal action to safeguard the artist's rights." They expressed their earnest hope that the lawsuit would unveil the actual truth behind the dispute and serve as a deterrent against similar incidents in the future. CTYL concluded by pledging their utmost efforts to prevent such occurrences from happening again.
Hong Da Bin first gained recognition in 2016 through 'Yes Freestyle' and later released his debut album, 'Coming to You Live,' which garnered immense popularity in the hip-hop scene.
