According to media outlet reports on December 14 KST, actor Jo Byung Kyu has requested for a reevaluation after receiving a physical examination rank of Class 4 from the Military Manpower Administration.  

Individuals who receive Class 1, 2, or 3 are deemed eligible for military service as active duty. Individuals who receive Class 4 may carry out their mandatory service by fulfilling public service duties. 

However, wishing to enlist as an active duty soldier instead of fulfilling his requirement through public service, Jo Byung Kyu has decided to request a reevaluation, which will likely take place 6 months after the request has been processed. 

Born in 1996, Jo Byung Kyu plans to enlist some time in the second half of 2024. Currently, he's busy filming his new drama, 'Paradise' by director Jung Hyuk Ki.
