Two competing romance drama series both premiered back on November 24! So which drama came out on top in terms of the first episode?

According to Nielsen Korea on November 25 KST, the first episode of MBC's 'The Story of Park's Marriage Contract' recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 5.6%, and a citywide viewership rating of 5.3%. On the other hand, the first episode of SBS's 'My Demon' recorded a nationwide rating of 4.5% and a citywide rating of 5.1%. Meanwhile, during the same time slot, KBS2 aired the '44th Blue Dragon Film Awards' live, recording a nationwide viewership rating of 5.9% and a citywide rating of 6.2%.

'The Story of Park's Contract', starring Lee Se Young and Bae In Hyuk, follows the story of a woman from 19th Century Joseon, Park Yeon Woo, as she travels in time to find a husband in the 21st Century. 

The new SBS Fri-Sat drama 'My Demon', starring Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang, also centers around a marriage contract, but one between a chaebol heiress and an immortal demon who accidentally loses his powers.

Some commented, "'The Story of Park' was good! Lee Se Young's acting was on point as always", "I watched 'The Story of Park' with my mom and she was really into it", "I can't wait for the next episode of 'The Story of Park'", "Of course I'll watch anything with Lee Se Young", "I'm so happy Se Young's back with a new drama", and more. 

Others left comments such as, "The visuals in 'My Demon' are too good", "The first episode of 'My Demon' was actually pretty good.
