On November 24, the Seoul Western District Court formally dismissed the request filed by Yoo Jun Won of the MBC audition program 'Boys Fantasy' to nullify his exclusive, 5-year contract with Phunky Studio.

In addition to having his request dismissed, Yoo Jun Won's side must also pay for all costs related to the lawsuit, the court ordered. 

Yoo Jun Won previously finished in first place on the MBC idol audition program, 'Boys Fantasy', and was scheduled to debut in the 12-member project group Fantasy Boys in September, with management support by Phunky Studio. However, in August, Phunky Studio announced that Yoo Jun Won had chosen to exit the group without permission, and that Fantasy Boys would debut as 11-members without Yoo Jun Won's participation. On the other hand, Yoo Jun Won's side claimed that the exclusive contract offered by Phunky Studio was "unfair", and took the case to court.

According to the Western District Court ruling on this day, "Most of the content outlined in the contract offered by Phunky Studio adhere to the exclusive contract standards defined by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. After comparing the issues raised by the creditor (Yoo Jun Won) with the standardized contract, it is difficult to determine that there were any issues of 'unfairness'. Therefore, it is difficult to conclude, based on the evidence submitted, that Yoo Jun Won was subject to unfair treatment and demands by Phunky Studio."

As of now, it seems that neither side has decided to appeal the Western District Court's ruling.

Meanwhile, Fantasy Boys debuted as an 11-member group in September of this year, releasing their 1st mini album 'New Tomorrow'.
