This decision came after a thorough pre-arrest interrogation and substantive examination of the arrest warrant.
Chief Judge Lee explained the rationale behind the dismissal, citing factors such as the level of detail regarding the alleged crime, room for dispute, progress of the investigation, and the suspect's residence, occupation, and family ties. In light of these considerations, the court determined that detention was not warranted.
Mr. A, emerging from the substantive examination, remained tight-lipped when questioned by reporters about the allegations of supplying drugs to the female manager of an entertainment bar.
The accusations against Mr. A revolve around his alleged provision of drugs to Lee Sun Gyun and others through Mr. B, the manager of an entertainment establishment. Mr. B, who had been previously arrested and charged, was associated with a Gangnam entertainment venue and had forged friendships with celebrities. He is known to have offered his residence as a place for Lee Sun Gyun to use drugs.
Currently, the Incheon Police Agency is conducting investigations, both internal and external, involving ten individuals suspected of drug use, including Mr. A, Lee Sun Kyun, and singer G-Dragon.
