Park Soo Hong is embroiled in a familial conflict and continues his legal battle against them.
Over the past few days, he made headlines once again as the legal battle intensified. Noh Jong Eon, his legal representative, revealed on October 18 that a lawsuit was filed against Park Soo Hong's sister-in-law at the Mapo Police Station. The complaint alleges violations of the Information and Communication Network Act and defamation.
Earlier, Park Soo Hong had initiated legal proceedings against defamatory comments made by former journalist/YouTuber Kim Yong Ho. The case, however, concluded prematurely after Kim Yong Ho's sudden death on October 12 due to a lack of public prosecution.
During the proceedings, it came to light that the allegations against Park by Kim had originated from information provided by his sister-in-law and were accepted as factual. In response, Park Soo Hong's team expressed the intent to pursue legal actions against his sister-in-law, aiming to hold her accountable for her actions.
Currently, there is no information regarding how Park's sister-in-law plans to respond to the recently filed complaint.
In a separate development on October 13, a trial involving Park Soo Hong's parents took place. They were accused of embezzlement under the Specific Economic Crimes Aggravated Punishment Act and were held with Judge Bae Seong Jung presiding over the 11th Criminal Division of the Seoul Western District Court. Controversy around Park's family deepened as his father made several contentious claims about Park's personal life in court.
Mr. Park claimed to have catered to his son's needs for over three decades. Park Soo Hong's father claimed, "I looked after him for 32 years," "I cleaned up even the condoms left after he slept with women," and "He also got a baby once, and he asked his brother and sister-in-law to handle the situation." These assertions remain unverified.
Park Soo Hong's attorney reacted by saying these were false accusations that had been disproven in the trial against Kim Yong Ho. On witnessing his parents continue to spread misinformation, Park Soo Hong was reported to have said, "It's heartbreaking; I feel like an orphan," expressing his desire for his parents to correct the misconceptions.
