Seventeen's Joshua recently revealed that he had purchased a house in Korea for his mom.
Joshua and Hoshi from Seventeen recently appeared on the YouTube channel DdeunDden's show 'Pinggyego (It's an Excuse)' and discussed various topics.
During the talk show, Yoo Jae Suk brought up the topic of family. Hoshi revealed that he had an older sister, while Joshua revealed that he is an only child.
Hoshi made the MCs laugh when he confessed that his older sister is only one year older than him, so they would fight often. He shared, "She's only a year older than I am so we fight a lot. We couldn't see each other often after I became a trainee so we now share a lot of good words." Yoo Jae Suk asked, "What did you fight about?" and Hoshi revealed, "Over the remote control or when I would be playing a computer game, she would tell me to move and would kick me."
Yoo Jae Suk then asked Joshua about his family relationship, and he revealed that he is the only child. Yoo Jae Suk made everyone laugh when he asked Joshua, "Don't you like it (being the only child)?" and he replied, "I do like it."
Joshua elaborated that he likes being the only child and didn't feel lonely because he had older and younger friends to keep him company. Yoo Jae Suk praised Joshua for being a warm and kind person.
That is when Ji Suk Jin added that Joshua is a filial son and said, "His filial piety is amazing. I heard what he bought for his mother." When Yoo Jae Suk inquired about what Joshua bought for his mother, he revealed that he had bought her a house in Korea.
He explained, "My mother used to live in the United States, but I bought her a house in Korea so she can live here."
The other MCs were impressed by the gift he had bought his mother, and Joshua explained that she had raised him alone, so she deserved to be treated well. He shared, "She raised me alone. She worked 7 days a week. She used to run an Eastern medicine clinic because she's a Korean medicine doctor and she ran a restaurant too. So (when I was younger) I thought I would earn money and buy her something she wants. "
