On August 9, local time in New York, the BLACKPINK Pop-up Store was unveiled on West 25th Street, in partnership with the current streetwear sensation, Verdy.
Verdy, who is currently considered the hottest artist in the streetwear scene, integrated his unique style and artistic sense into this limited-edition capsule collection and also introduced a new character designed specifically for BLACKPINK.
CNN International, along with various media outlets, highlighted the anticipation of US Blinks who gathered early at the venue, forming extensive queues to snag premium limited edition merchandise. These items, ranging from T-shirts and hoodies to hats and accessories, encapsulate the unique artistic blend of BLACKPINK and Verdy.
One of the most coveted items by fans was BLACKPINK's custom electric bike, which was first unveiled at the New York pop-up store and recorded strong sales from day one.
Visitors were able to take commemorative four-cut photos with photo frames specially made to celebrate BLACKPINK's 7th anniversary, plus each shopper received a limited-edition tote bag designed by Verdy.
Until August 12, BLACKPINK's pop-up store was available and dyed the streets of New York pink, however, it is said that there are currently plans for more openings in major cities around the world.
