The K-Pop community is rallying together after a disturbing video on Twitter showing Stray Kids' Felix and leader Bang Chan targeted by a laser has gone viral. The clip has incited a strong reaction from fans who are united in their condemnation of JYP Entertainment's perceived lack of protection for the group. This incident, which is the latest in a series of cyberbullying attacks, appears to be an attempt to harm the eyesight of specific members. The outcry is growing louder for stronger security measures to ensure the safety of the group.
This disturbing incident is the latest in a string of concerns raised by the rapidly growing fan base of Stray Kids. Prior to the event, a chilling social media post had already hinted at the possibility of such an occurrence during the group's departure from a recent fan sign event. Alongside images of a green laser light, the individual had ominously posted a few weeks ago, "I bought the laser pen, I will use it on Felix (blindness is temporary don’t worry) Regarding the rest (other members) let’s see who gets nominated the most in the comments [and] maybe I’ll consider." Despite this clear threat, the group's management company appears to have overlooked the warning, leaving fans frustrated and worried for the members' safety.
This disturbing incident is the latest in a string of concerns raised by the fans of fast rising group Stray Kids.
Regrettably, no precautionary measures were implemented to prevent this distressing incident, leading to a perilous situation not only for the idols but also for the deeply concerned STAYs present at the scene. They were left wondering about the source of the laser that was seemingly haphazardly aimed. "I am a Chinese fan who was at the fansign. The laser was aimed at Yongbok (Felix’s Korean name), which is why we were all screaming his name. We saw the light but didn't know where it was coming from," shared one eyewitness. Observers noted that the laser moved from Felix, to the staff assisting him into his car, and then to Bang Chan.
Another fan present at the scene reached out to JYP Entertainment, recounting the situation as follows: "He (Felix) went out of his way to say hello to STAYs, but someone took the opportunity to hurt him." This distressing account further underscores the need for enhanced security measures to ensure the well-being of both the artists and their fans.
A number of videos were taken as proof, and as the fandom, in general, is becoming well aware of the situation, their anger is growing as they root for protection against their idols in unison.
What the hell is wrong with people? This is extremely scary. JYP better take action against this and do a better job of protecting the boys because this is unacceptable.

Terrifying. JYP seriously needs to start doing something, fans have sent numerous emails and tried contacting them many times for them to start protecting their artists. This could have ended up really badly. I hope they'll improve their artist's security and protection after this.
