Hairstylist/YouTuber Hairmon (Kim Woo Jun) has acknowledged that he is the famous YouTuber who was handed over to the prosecution connected to actor Yoo Ah In. Hairmon revealed this to his YouTube community on July 18 and apologized for causing concern among his subscribers.
In his statement, Hairmon addressed the recent press reports regarding his involvement in a well-known celebrity's marijuana case. He explained that due to the involvement of multiple individuals and the ongoing investigation, he found it challenging to take a stance or provide any detailed information.
Consequently, he decided to halt posting announcements on his channel to prevent any further harm. Now that the case has been transferred to the prosecution, he anticipates that a decision regarding his involvement will be made in due course. Hairmon assured his audience that he would provide a comprehensive account of his position and personal circumstances surrounding the case in the near future.
Hairmon is a 31-year-old YouTuber affiliated with Collab Korea. He is both a renowned hairstylist for actor Yoo Ah In and a YouTuber with over 300,000 subscribers.
Previously, on the 17th, the Drug Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency disclosed that they had forwarded 30-year-old Kim, the YouTuber who had been investigated as an accomplice in Yoo Ah In's drug charges, to the Violent Crime Investigation Department of the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office.
It was reported that Kim had allegedly smoked marijuana, violating the Narcotics Control Act, while traveling in the United States with Yoo Ah In and four other acquaintances in January. During the investigation, Kim reportedly admitted to most of the charges leveled against him.
I personally don't understand why Korea makes it illegal for their citizens to smoke marijuana in other countries even if it is legal in said places, surely the drinking culture in Korea is much more dangerous and damaging than the occasional weed on holiday in places like Amsterdam or in this case, the US
