The second half of 2023 has already rolled in, and Netflix has a load of new K-content prepared to be released, bringing excitement to fans.
On June 18, Netflix Korea official YouTube channel released the trailer for all the new Korean content that will be released in the second half of this year. The trailer titled "Tudum 2023 | Preview of the K-contents in the Second Half of the Year | Netflix" showed snippets of all the Korean dramas and movies that are coming soon.
The coming K-content includes 11 new and returning shows. They include 'Sweet Home 2', 'D.P.2', 'Celebrity,' 'Mask Girl,' 'A Time Called You,' 'Song of the Bandits,' 'Doona!,' 'Daily Dose of Sunshine,' 'Ballerina,' 'Gyeongseong Creature' and 'Believer 2'.
'Gyeongseong Creature' is set in the backdrops of 1945, when the darkness of the era was at its deepest. 'Geongseong Creature' is a thriller drama surrounding the story of two youths who confront a monster born out of greed. The drama stars Han So Hee and Park Seo Joon.
'D.P. 2' continues to follow the story of Joon Ho (played by Jung Hae In) and Ho Yeol (played by Koo Gyo Hwan), who are part of the military desertion arrest team (D.P.). The duo continues to catch deserters, chasing people with various stories and facing a reality they hadn't known before.
The beloved characters of 'Sweet Home' return in the second season of the popular series. The story will pick up where it left off as the troubled teenager Cha Hyun Soo, and his neighbors continue to fight to maintain their humanity during an apocalypse where humans turn into monsters.
'Daily Dose of Sunshine' is a slice-of-life drama following Da Eun (played by Park Bo Young), a nurse who comes to work at a psychiatric ward, as she meets broken-hearted people telling their stories.
'Doona!' is a romantic comedy-drama that unfolds when Lee Doo Na (played by Suzy), who has retired from idol activities, and Lee Won Joon (played by Yang Se Jong), an ordinary college student, begin living in a share house.
'Song of the Bandits' is a gripping drama that unfolds in Gando, a lawless land, during the 1920s. In this tumultuous setting, various factions, including the Japanese army, the independent military, contractors, bandits, and Korean migrants struggling to make a living, find themselves locked in a deadly game of survival, each with their own distinct motives. Notable actors such as Yoo Jae Myung bring these characters to life, adding depth and intensity to the narrative.
'Mask Girl' is a thriller that centers around Kim Mo Mi (played by Koh Hyung Jung and Nana), a woman plagued by insecurities about her appearance. She navigates her life as a nightly internet streamer but gets unwittingly entangled in an unforeseen incident.
'Celebrity' is a captivating piece of work that explores the glamorous yet demanding lives of celebrities through the lens of a woman who enters the world where fame equates to financial success.
