The identity of promising trot star 'A' who recently took their life has been revealed as 29-year-old singer Haesoo.
According to media reports, Haesoo was scheduled to perform at an event in North Jeolla Province on May 20 KST, but on May 15, a few days after the singer's death was reported, an organizer was contacted and told she had passed away.
As previously released, the singer was reported to be found dead at her dormitory on May 11. Later on, a suicide note that was not disclosed was also discovered at her place of passing, confirming the suicide. Amid the rumors of her death, her personal YouTube channel's comment function was disabled on May 15. Prior to the change of the comment settings, many fans had left messages trying to seek truth or closure.
Meanwhile, Haesoo was born in 1993, majored in Pansori at the Korea National University of Arts' School of Traditional Arts, and later, debuted in November 2019 with the song "My Life, Me" from her 1st EP album. In 2021, she released her second album, 'Kongmuni', and began activities on various music broadcasts, variety shows, and radio programs, including the Lunar New Year special episode of KBS 2TV's 'Immortal Song.'
