Kangnam shared that a famous composer stole the song he and his groupmate made during his idol days. 

On May 19th, Kangnam made a guest appearance on the YouTube channel 'Mdromeda Studio.' There, he candidly shared his thoughts regarding various things including his past with host Tanaka san. During the segment, he carefully shared an episode when the song he made with his groupmate was stolen. 

"I'm not sure if I can share this. Back when I was an idol, M.I.B, my groupmate made a song. He wrote and composed the song and I sang it. After the pre-recording, it wasn't released. But then after a few years, that song landed on number one on the music charts. But there was no credit given to us. A different artist under a different label was singing it. My groupmate had no idea either."

After revealing the name to Tanaka san, Kangnam continued, "Back then we didn't know how to stand up for ourselves."  The relevant segment starts around the 15:00 mark in the video below. 

Shortly after the release of the video, netizens speculated the said song was a song by Baechigi, based on the diss track M.I.B member released back in the day. The lyrics included the name of the song "Shower of Tears." M.I.B disbanded back in 2016.
