Jimin continues to reach new heights of success following his official debut as a solo artist, registering new records on the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify. His impressive daily streaming numbers have seen him set new records for any Korean solo artist on the Spotify Global Daily Top Songs chart and Spotify USA Daily Top Songs chart. Similarly, a new record also emerged on the Spotify Global Daily Top Artists chart!
April 16 marked the 32nd day that Jimin had ranked on Spotify Global Daily Top Artists chart, having been on the chart every single day since the release of his album 'FACE.' He thereby became the longest-charting Korean male solo artist in the history of this chart.
His excellent performance on the platform has been steady, and as of April 28, Jimin had now spent a total of 44 days on Spotify Global Daily Top Artists chart. He thus went from not just being the longest-charting Korean male soloist on the chart, but the longest-charting Korean artist in general in the history of this chart!
As of the latest Spotify update on May 1, Jimin has now extended his stay on this chart to 47 days and maintained his record.
Earlier on, Jimin had also set a new record on a different chart on the same platform after he had stayed on Spotify USA Daily Top Artists chart for 18 days, again making him the longest-charting Korean solo artistin history on this chart and the 6th longest charting Korean act in general.
Jimin's amazing ranking on the artists' charts was made possible by his high daily streaming numbers, especially from his main track 'Like Crazy.' The song has been on Spotify's Global Daily Top Songs chart every single day since its release. The update on May 1 saw the song rank #45 on the chart, marking its 37th day on the chart.
Out of these 37 days, 'Like Crazy' has ranked within the top 50 songs for 36 days!
As such, 'Like Crazy' holds the record as the longest-charting song by a Korean solo artist in 2023 inside the Top 50 of Spotify Global Daily Top Songs chart.
Shifting gear to the UK, the song spent its 5th week on the UK Official Singles, Downloads, and Sales charts, and now it ranks 4th among the longest-charting songs by Korean soloists on the UK Official Singles chart.
