Jimin continues to write history with new 'album' and 'single' records on various Billboard charts in the USA and Canada
Jimin's success following his official debut as a solo artist just over a month ago has been nothing short of astronomical. With each new week comes historical new records for his 'Like Crazy' single and 'FACE' album, notably on the top music charts of the world.
Both the single and the album are still ranking on various major Billboard charts, particularly in the USA, despite being non-English language releases and promotions having ended almost three weeks ago. Suffice it to say, even though he was already wildly popular as a member of BTS, Jimin has now made a name for himself and curved his name in history as arguably the most impactful Korean soloist in history, especially after his historical #1 debut on USA Billboard Hot 100.
The Billboard Weekly charts on the fourth week of his debut have been released, and Jimin has added new records to his already long list of achievements.
He ranked 85th on USA Billboard Hot 100 chart and 79th on the Canadian Billboard Hot 100 chart with his hit single 'Like Crazy', extending his record as the longest-charting Korean soloist on both charts since PSY with 'Gentleman' almost a decade ago.
He also ranked 7th on the Digital Song Sales chart with 'Like Crazy,' becoming one of the two second-longest charting Korean soloists in the Top 10 of this chart with four weeks.
On the World Digital Song Sales chart, the song reclaimed its #1 position on the chart in its fourth week, again getting into a tie as the longest-running #1 song by a Korean soloist with 3 weeks at #1. Only two other Korean soloists in all of history have had a song spend three weeks at #1 on this chart.
Jimin's album 'FACE' also made history with another world record after spending its fourth week at #1 on the World Albums chart, which made it the longest-running #1 album by a K-pop or Korean soloist in the history of this chart.
On the Billboard 200 chart, 'FACE' ranked 58th, becoming the highest-ranking album by a Korean and K-pop soloist in its fourth week of release on the chart.
On the Top Album Sales chart and Top Current Album Sales chart, 'FACE' ranked 11th on both charts in its fourth week. Having ranked for four weeks on both charts, it became the 3rd longest-charting album by a Korean soloist on the Top Album Sales chart and the 4th longest charting album by a Korean soloist on the Top Current Album Sales chart.
Another record came up on the Artist 100 chart, after Jimin ranking on the chart for 5 consecutive weeks, which now has him in a tie with 2 other K-pop soloists as the second longest charting Korean soloists on the chart.
Other Billboard charts where 'Like Crazy' ranked include the Hot Trending Songs chart, the Global 200 chart, the Global (Excl. US) chart and Hits of the World charts in various countries and regions globally.
Congratulations Jiminie. So proud of you
