In the early hours of February 25 KST, an anonymous netizen took to an online community to claim that her friend was a victim of dating violence.
The anonymous netizen 'A' wrote on this day, "My friend suffered dating violence at the hands of her boyfriend who is an idol. She went to the police on February 19, and she is scheduled to attend a questioning on February 26."
'A' continued, "This person is not a famous idol, but he still has a handful of fans supporting him despite what he's done which I found selfish, and so I have decided to speak up on behalf of my friend."
'A' then went on to provide some images of 'evidence' that her friend 'B' dated K-Pop idol 'Y'.
'A' stated, "My friend and 'Y' dated for about 3 months. When my friend said she wanted to break up, he assaulted her. He grabbed her by her collar, dragged her into an alley, forcibly took her phone away from her hands and threatened to throw it. Afterward, he choked her until she lost consciousness. Passerby's fortunately found her and helped her, but if it weren't for the help of strangers, my friend might not be alive today. She has medical records to prove her injuries."
Finally, 'A' revealed, "I believe that it is morally wrong for someone like this to continue a career in entertainment. I will disclose more information after the police questioning on the 26th."
In a series of text messages exchanged between 'B' and 'Y', additionally shared by 'A', the alleged assailant 'Y' seems to admit that he committed such actions.
Y: "The fact that I acted that way toward someone I love, I think that it was very problematic."
B: "No matter whom I meet from now on."
Y: "And because of that."
B: "Because you weren't having your way, you hit me, you physically overpowered me, and choked me until I lost consciousness."
Y: "Yes, yes, you're right. It was wrong of me."
B: "What should I do? I was physically traumatized from you hitting me, and ever since you almost choked to death, my collarbones have been hurting. What should I do?"
Y: "I, I, I'll apologize to you in person. I'll get down on my knees in front of you, if we can meet."
B: "Me, meet you? When I have no idea what else you might do to me?"
Y: "I promise I won't do anything. I just want to apologize to you sincerely in person."
Meanwhile, based on the photos shown by 'A', some netizens have raised speculations that 'Y' is a newly debuted idol who formerly participated on the Mnet competition program 'I-LAND'.
I tried to play detective and go off those pics to match with the photos and the criteria.
