From Cha Eun Woo to BIGBANG's T.O.P, many idols' chic and cat-like visuals have been compared to actor Kang Dong Won, and NewJeans' Haerin is the latest to be added to the list!

On February 11 KST, a post titled "A celebrity who has people saying 'He looks like NewJeans' Haerin'" became popular on Instiz after sharing one of Haerin's school photos with a photo of the actor in his twenties during his modeling era.

Netizens' reactions to the suggestion that the two stars look alike were quite mixed, with one side saying the two could not look more alike while the other insisted there were no similarities between the two at all. Comments agreeing included, "Wow, there's something about the two of them," "They look alike...! 😯," "Wow, if you said she was really his niece, I'd believe you," "An uncle and niece vibe!!!," "They really look alike hahaha. And they're both Kangs," and "Is this the first female Kang Dong Won lookalike idol...?!"

However, those who disagreed left comments like, "I don't think they really look alike... Haerin is a beautiful girl in her own Haerin way, and Kang Dong Won is a handsome man in a Kang Dong Won way," "Are you sure...? I feel like they don't look alike. I don't think of Kang Dong Won when I see Haerin, nor do I think of Haerin when I see Kang Dong Won," and "They're both old photos, and they look similar in them because they have the same facial expressions, but I don't think they actually look alike."
