Jun and The8 will not be joining the other Seventeen members for this year's 'Asia Artist Awards' in Japan.

On December 11 KST, Pledis Entertainment released an official statement through the group's social media channels, reading:

"Hello, this is Pledis Entertainment.

We would like to inform you that Seventeen members Jun and The8 will not be able to participate in the '2022 Asia Artist Awards' in Japan.

Seventeen members Jun and The8 will not be able to take part in the '2022 Asia Artist Awards' in Japan due to individual schedules arranged in advance.

Therefore, [the remaining] 11 members will be taking part in the event.

We ask for CARAT [Seventeen's fandom name]'s generous understanding.

Thank you."

Meanwhile, the '2022 Asia Artist Awards' will be held on December 13 at Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya.

December 13 is the annual commemoration date of the Nanjing Massacre and AAA will be held in Japan on December 13. It is in Jun and The8's best interests that Pledis decided to have different schedules for them.
