Fans are proud of Jimin, who seems to be amassing incredible records with his songs despite having no official debut as a soloist. His Midas touch has made every song he released become successful.

It is close to the year-end Korean Award shows season, and on the 24th of October, the Mnet Asia Music Awards announced nominations for various categories; superstar K-pop group BTS along with its members Jimin, V, J-Hope, and Suga have altogether earned 17 nominations on the awards.

"With You," sung by Jimin and Ha Sungwoon, is a song that was described as a luxury OST by Korean media prior to its release. It was nominated for Best OST of the year on MAMA along with "Christmas Tree" by V of BTS, Melomance's "Love, Maybe," "Your Existence" by Wonstein, and "Drawer" by 10cm. This is Jimin's first OST to get a nomination and one which happened with his first-ever solo debut release outside of BTS. "With You" is also the only OST from the popular Korean Drama Our Blues chosen for this category.

"With You" stands as the most streamed OST released in 2022, with 158 Million streams on Spotify currently. It is also the fastest to achieve the feat in six months. On YouTube, the song has more than 30 Million streams so far and has amassed 385K Shazams as well. It should be remembered that "With You" was released at an unfortunate time for charting on Korean and Global charts, despite that it had the highest debut for a Korean OST on Gaon Weekly Charts, WorldWide Apple Music Chart, and Melon's Top 100. It also holds records for the biggest debut for a K-drama OST daily and weekly on Spotify, Billboard Charts of Japan, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia, and also debuted on the Netherlands Global Top 40 chart earning the biggest debut for a K-drama OST, and was the highest Asian artist debut of 2022 on German Download Singles Chart. Notably, "With You": broke the record for the fastest song to achieve #1 in 100 countries in iTunes history as well as the fastest and only to reach #1 in every iTunes available country.

Recently it was revealed to have sold over 105K units in the United States, among other records.

As if that was not enough, because of its wonderful performance on the charts, "With You" got yet another nomination on the Award show; this was the Song of The Year (Daesang) nomination achieved along with members V, J-Hope, and Suga for their respective releases. As Jimin's first OST gets nominated for the awards this year, and in his own name, it is worth noting that both awards are not fan voted, and winners will be determined based on these criteria (Judges 40% & downloads/streaming 60% (40% Korea and 20% Global).

This is not Jimin's first nomination on Korean Award shows; although part of BTS discography, he started off on the GAON Music charts before it changed to the Circle chart to include global data. "Filter" and "Friends" are two critically acclaimed hits that were released in February of 2020 from the MOTS 7 album. These two songs saw major achievements, including making Jimin the first BTS member to have songs he has worked on nominated for Song of The Year on the 10th GAON Chart Awards. "Filter" has surpassed 500K unit sales in the United States and remains the most streamed Korean B side, unpromoted solo, and the fastest Korean Male solo to achieve 330 Million streams on Spotify so far. It was also the most successful Korean solo of 2020 and 2021. "Friends," produced by Jimin, is the most streamed unit song of the album, with currently 180 Million streams on Spotify, and earned global status when Director Chloé Zhao used it as an OST for Marvel's blockbuster Eternals in 2021.

Since all of Jimin's songs are chart-toppers across all platforms, fans can not wait for him to release his solo album, get more recognition and win bigger awards in the near future. Congratulations Jimin!
