On the October 23 episode of Inkigayo, AKMU's Chanhyuk makes his solo debut with "Panorama," where he shocked audience with his hair being shaved live as he performed.
In particular, the song "Panorama" is a dance track that expresses Chanhyuk's own philosophical message of regret and desire for life, coupled with a warm-textured retro beat. In this stage presented on Inkigayo, Chanhyuk sits in the middle of the stage with a barber grown on, as someone appears to shave his head, leaving many curing about the hidden meaning behind this action.
Reportedly, this action ties over to the storyline of Chanhyuk's full album 'ERROR', in particular, the album's first track "Eyewitness Account" which starts as an accident, and the protagonist falling into coma due to an accident. They were only able to hear people, but are unable to speak for themselves. Along with the lyrics that say "I can't die just like this" in "Panorama," he hints a rebirth of himself with his clean shaven head.
Check out this striking stage below!
Uhm.. I think Chanhyuk is a musical genius but these stunts are just that. None of them qualify as performance art; none of them are even imaginative.
I'll listen to his music and let him outgrow this phase.
