BLACKPINK became the first K-Pop girl group to top Billboard 200 with 'Born Pink.'
On September 25th, Billboard announced that BLACKPINK’s latest release 'Born Pink' debuted at No. 1 on the Top 200 Albums chart. With 102,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Sept. 22, 'Born Pink' is the first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 by an all-female group since 2008.
According to Billboard, 'Born Pink' also debuted at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart with the seventh-largest sales week of any album in 2022 by selling 75,500 copies.
BLACKPINK has now become the first-ever K-Pop girl group to have an album landing atop the Billboard 200. They are also the third K-Pop group to to top the Billboard 200 in 2022, following BTS and Stray Kids.
