BTS' Jimin is a role model popular not only for his incredible work ethic and talent as an artist, his inspiring wisdom and comfort, and even his gorgeous visuals but also for his philanthropic acts in looking after the cause of the underprivileged in society.

On the 22nd of August, Jimin, along with other top Korean celebrities like Bae Suzy, IU, and Shin Min Ah, were mentioned in an article by Entertainment media Celebrities Indonesia as the Top 6 Korean Artists who are diligent in their donations, talented as well as noble-hearted. (Read here)


In the issue, these artists were said to be more idolized and radiant in their charm because of their diligence in making donations and helping to solve societal issues. About Jimin, it was said that apart from being handsome and popular, he is always diligent when it came to donating. In 2019, Jimin gave 100 million Won to the Busan Metropolitan City Education office to help with the welfare of underprivileged students.

Jimin, who hails from Busan, has been active in his philanthropy towards his hometown and alma mater, the Busan Arts High School, where he donated money to replace desks and chairs for around 1,200 students. The same year, a grateful mother posted her heartfelt gratitude on Weverse to Jimin for the generous donation. He also donated yet another 100 Million Won to the Jeollanam-do Office of Education and was recognized for it.

Last year Jimin made a generous donation of ($84,000) to Rotary district number 3590 for polio eradication. As a result, he was inducted into Korea's Rotary donor file in their high donation 'level 3' section. This act was praised by the WHO Secretary-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Social Media and Media Monitoring head Sari Setiogi along with Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta, the Korea district director, and more.

Because he sets an excellent example for others, his fanbases like, All for the Jimin Korea, Adelio, Jimin Data, and more have also followed suit. On the 30th of July, a project from 'Jimin’s Bookshelf' – A charity project initiated by Celina Nguyen, a fan of BTS Jimin JIMIN from Vietnam, in collaboration with Toc May group organized a program to donate gifts for the less privileged students in the remote communities of Gia Lai province. To celebrate Jimin's upcoming birthday, Celina Nguyen will hold a 'Jimin scholarship' plan to help the students of Tran Nguyen Han High School in early October as part of 'Jimin's Bookshelf.'

Another Fanbase called 'JIMIN UNITED' has previously conducted a lot of donation projects to help alleviate the suffering of children worldwide and ensure the protection of endangered wildlife. Presently it is carrying out a 12-month donation project which began on Jimin's birthday in October 2021 with the estimated sum of $1,200 to support Palestinian children suffering from cancer.
