With such a highly anticipated release, being his first-ever official work outside of BTS, Jimin has been setting new records left, right, and center on various domestic and international music buying and streaming platforms. From iTunes, YouTube, Spotify, Genius charts, Oricon, QQ Music, and Melon, there is no platform where Jimin is not registering jaw-dropping results, especially since the time of release for 'With You' put the song at such a disadvantage in terms of chart performance due to the highly minimalized tracking period for the first day. The song had only one hour of tracking for Korean charts and 10 hours of tracking for international charts like Spotify and Apple Music. Nevertheless, 'With You' beat all odds and performed very well on its first tracking day, as previously reported [read here for iTunes records, here for Melon records, and here for Spotify records].
On Apple Music, 'With You' broke the record for the highest debut for a Korean OST on the Worldwide Apple Music Song chart, having charted in 42 countries and regions on Apple Music and thereby set a new record as the first and only Korean OST to chart in that many regions on the platform, achieving this impressive feat in just 10 hours.
On Japan's Oricon Daily Digital Singles chart, the song entered the chart immediately at #3 and debuted at #2 after rising one place on the chart with just an hour of downloads!
On China's QQ Music chart, the song occupied the first and second positions on the US Hot Music chart after only 2 hours of streaming.
No matter the country or region, 'With You' by Jimin and Sungwoon was well received and appreciated by fans, as seen from the impressive achievements on the different music platforms globally.
The song will definitely set more records as time goes by and more people discover it.
Only the power of the IT BOY is capable of harvesting so many records without promotion, just because of his enormous talent and the love of his fans!
Congratulations Jimin & Sungwoon!
