Kim Taehyung, aka V, proves he is the 'social media king' as he continues to dominate Instagram after all BTS members opened individual public accounts on Dec 6, 2021.

Taehyung's post of his beloved and famous pet dog Yeontan is now the first and only post by an Asian to surpass 19 million likes on Instagram. 

Taehyung achieved this with less than 40 million followers from his 3-month-old account, surpassing many Asian celebrities that have over 60 million followers but lower engagements. 

He is also the 10th person overall in the world to surpass this record, joining the likes of famous celebrities like Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Kylie Jenner. 

Alffy Official, an AI that analyzes big data for trends, also recently ranked Taehyung as the #1 Korean Mega Influencer on Instagram for the 3rd week of March. 

He garnered over 35 million likes in a week with just three posts. He is followed by BLACKPINK members Jennie and Jisoo. 

Since Day 1 of opening his account, Taehyung has proven his global celebrity status with his high authentic engagements and social media records. And no doubt we'll be seeing more records achieved in the future.
