Actor Lee Seo Jin talked about 2PM's Junho and his excellent portrayal of Joseon's 22nd ruler Jeongjo, born as Yi San, in the MBC drama 'The Red Sleeve'.

On February 7, Lee Seo Jin sat down for an interview with one exclusive media outlet. Here, he talked about being best known for his legendary performance as Yi San in his 2007 MBC drama 'Yi San'. He stated, "I don't even remember the Yi San that I portrayed. Now, Yi San is just Junho. It's embarassing to even be mentioned [as Yi San] now."

Lee Seo Jin played the lead character of Yi San, the 22nd ruler of the Joseon Dynasty, in the MBC drama 'Yi San' back in 2007. This became Lee Seo Jin's most legendary project where for many years, the first person the Korean public thought of when hearing the name Yi San was actor Lee Seo Jin.

With the recent popularity of 'The Red Sleeve', starring Junho and Lee Se Young, Lee Seo Jin's past portrayal of Yi San was brought up again. When asked what he thought after seeing Junho's recent portrayal of King Jeongjo, Lee Seo Jin stated, "I worked with [2PM member] Taecyeon for a long time. So, I know the 2PM members well. When I met Junho, I told him he would do really well. I knew he would end up doing well." 

Lee Seo Jin then brought laughter by emphasizing, "Yi San is Junho, and I am Dr. Park (in reference to his currently airing drama 'Dr. Park's Clinic')."
