V's 'Christmas Tree' earns the biggest #1 debut for a Korean soloist on Japan's Oricon Daily Digital Singles Chart

On January 13, 2022, three weeks after its Korean and international release, 'Christmas Tree' was officially released on Japanese music platforms.
The original soundtrack sung by Kim Taehyung, aka V, for the Korean drama series 'Our Beloved Summer' has been a success in Japan, creating new records since Day 1.
'Christmas Tree' also debuts at #1 on Japan's Oricon Daily Digital Singles Chart with 11,771 downloads. This is the biggest 1st-day sales debut ever for any Korean soloist in history.
Without any promotion, 'Christmas Tree' debuted with more sales than previous BTS Japanese title tracks like 'Stay Gold' and 'Lights' that were heavily promoted.
In addition, 'Christmas Tree also debuts at #101 on Spotify Japan, earning the highest debut for a Korean solo OST on the platform.
Taehyung's popularity in Japan is unmatched, and Japanese fans continue to pour their love for his beautiful love song 'Christmas Tree.'
