Antoine Gilbert, the Lead Brand Strategist for Twitter France, made a post on the 8th edition of the Paris Luxury Summit held at Théâtre Marigny on December 14, where there were talks about the special bond between luxury and Twitter, specifically mentioning Louis Vuitton and BTS. Louis Vuitton announced BTS to be the luxury brand's global ambassadors early this year. They walked the runway for the first time during the #LVMenFW21 show in Seoul on July 7. Antoine's post included images from this show projected on the big screen at the summit, images that were from the teaser video for the fashion show as posted by BTS's official Twitter account. Specifically, the image on the screen was that of Jimin as he opened the show. Jimin is once again shining as the LV Frontman as he has now commonly become known even in Korean media outlets.
The Paris Luxury Summit was co-founded by CB News and Publicis Media and has become the Parisian convergence place for international luxury communication, assembling over 800 professionals from brands, consultants, and the media to each edition. Therefore, it is a point of significance that Jimin was the one shown on the big screen at such a significant event in the luxury world.
Of note is that Fashionbiz, a leading Korean fashion magazine, had named Jimin as the decisive factor behind BTS becoming Louis Vuitton's global brand ambassadors. In its feature published on September 10, 2021, on how luxury fashion brands are increasingly investing in Korean celebrities as global ambassadors, the premium report discussed different idols and the brands they represent. While discussing the Louis Vuitton collaboration with BTS, it explicitly states that Jimin was the reason behind this deal coming into fruition. The magazine said:
"The decisive reason why BTS was able to become Louis Vuitton's global ambassador was that the T-shirt worn by member Jimin made a hit around the world in April this year when Virgil Abloh, the Louis Vuitton Creative Director, interviewed BTS on a video call. This short-sleeved T-shirt, worth 850,000 won, was sold out in Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada."

This was not the first time that Jimin had caused the luxury brand's items to sell out. Read more about this T-shirt and other cases here and about how he caused every single Louis Vuitton item that he wore during BTS' trip to New York for the 76th UNGA back in September to sell out here.
It is also worth remembering that after the Louis Vuitton fashion show where Jimin opened the show, Cosmopolitan magazine published an article where its style editor explained what it meant for any model to open a fashion show. He states that the opening and closing spots in a fashion show usually go to the biggest models either in the global perspective or while considering the models on that particular show. It goes to show the weight that Jimin carried for Louis Vuitton as a brand and for the particular show, notwithstanding the fact that this was his first time ever to walk the runway.
Jimin being named as the reason for the BTSxLouisVuitton deal and then opening the show led to his newly acquired title as the LV FRONTMAN.
On the day of the show, he took over Twitter trends in different countries with the keywords MODEL PARK JIMIN and LV FRONTMAN, among other keywords, for how well he carried himself and represented the brand. He attracted the attention of several media outlets. Just after the show, when each of the member's photos were posted on the official Louis Vuitton page on Instagram, Jimin's photo was liked and commented on by numerous celebrities and influential individuals from around the world and remains the most-liked photo among all the members till now with 944k likes. In addition, it is the only photo that was liked by the former Louis Vuitton creative director for men's wear, Virgil Abloh, further reinforcing his position as the LV FRONTMAN indeed. Read more about this here.
Fans have nothing but extreme pride in Jimin for his ever-soaring position as the LV Frontman, and here are some of their reactions to seeing his picture on the big screen at the Paris Luxury Summit.
Consequently, the reactions saw Jimin trend worldwide and in various other countries as JIMIN LV FRONTMAN. In summary, there were more than 23 trends with over 4 keywords in over 16 countries, and JIMIN JIMIN surpassed 1 million mentions.
