MBC's new historical fantasy drama series 'The Red Sleeve Cuff' has released still cuts of the cast members. The drama has been confirmed to premiere on November 5 at 10 p.m KST.

The script reading for the drama took place earlier in May attended by actors Lee Junho, Lee Se Young, Kang Hoon, Lee Deok Hwa, Park Ji Young, Jang Hee Jin, Jang Hye Jin, Jo Hee Bong, Seo Hyo Rim, Kang Mal Geum, Oh Dae Hwan, Lee Min Ji, Ha Yul Ri, Lee Eun Saem, Kwon Hyun Bin, and more.

Based on a fantasy novel of the same name written by Kang Mi Gang, the drama tells the story of a sad court romance between a King and a court lady who wants to protect her choice of life.

In the male lead role, 2PM's Lee Junho plays Lee San, also knows as Yi San, a king who prioritizes his nation over love. Lee San is an arrogant perfectionist crown prince who later becomes King Jeongjo of Joseon.

Actor Lee Junho returns to the small screen for the first time after discharging military service mandatory.

Opposite him, actress Lee Se Young takes on the female lead role as a court lady names Seong Deok Im who shows her bright, carefree, and brilliant charm. She decides to choose her life rather than being one of the King’s women.

Next, Kang Hoon joins the cast as Hong Deok Ro, who hides his cool personality beneath his warm appearance, while Lee Dok Hwa impresses his presence into the drama.

In addition, competent actors such as Park Ji Young and Jang Hee Jin heightens the drama with their immersive acting skills.

The actors who attended the script reading has such incredible chemistry that it was unbelievable that it was their first time working together.

Junho and Se Yeong showed off their treasure-class chemistry despite the status of a crown prince and court lady, raising anticipations for their affectionate and heart-fluttering romance in the future.

Junho's relationship with Kang Hoon and Lee Deok Hwa was also highlighted during the script reading. Meanwhile, Lee Se Young, Jang Hye Jin, Lee Min Ji, Ha Yul Ri, and Lee Eun Saem created pleasant chemistry as the court ladies who made everyone laughed.

Following the end of the script reading, Lee Junho and Lee Se Young expressed their feelings on their first experience working together.

Junho said, "Lee Se Young is an actress I want to work with, I am very happy to work together through a project like this."

"I think this drama has a special and different charm compared to original work. Please love and support it," he added.

Lee Se Young then commented, "I enjoy the script and the original work. I prepare a lot for this project while hoping to show Deok Im beyond how she is portrayed in the original work. I am looking forward to achieving fantastic teamwork."
