Actress Park Ji Hyun of the comedy film 'Forbidden Fairytale' on the February 7 episode of Sung Si Kyung's YouTube series, 'We'll Meet One Day', revealing her quirky and relatable personality.
While chatting over crispy pork fajitas and makgeolli, Park Ji Hyun confessed that she does not watch Sung Si Kyung's YouTube show because she is "usually on a diet."
She explained, "I used to weight a lot. Dieting is my life's homework. Before my twenties, I used to weigh 78~80 kg (~ 172~176 lb)."
Confirming that she used to be a big eater in her teens, Park Ji Hyun said, "I ate anything and everything." When Sung Si Kyung asked how many bags of ramyeon she could eat at a time during those days, Park Ji Hyun answered, "I prefer jajang ramyeon. Back then, I could eat 6 bags at a time. If I really set myself up to do it, I can still eat 3~4 bags now."
Park Ji Hyun also opened up about her personal dieting methods. "First, you have to find a form of exercise that you really love. For me, it's ballet. I've been doing ballet for about 5 years. Once I get in my gear and stand in front of the mirror, I feel like a real ballerina. I become kind of engrossed in narcissism? And then I push myself to train harder," she stated. On her eating habits, the actress revealed, "I cut my carbs and sodium. I don't eat rice, bread, noodles, any of that. But I'll eat fruit and snacks. I would rather eat snacks than rice. I know it makes no sense."
On occasion, the actress confessed that still indulges herself. "Last year, I played the role of a cancer patient, so I had to cut my weight down by a lot. After that, I took a long vacation in the United States, for about 2 months. I gained 10 kg then."
She also shared about her eating habits in high school, commenting, "We had 11 periods at our high school. So I would buy a pack of 12 chocolate bars on the way to school, and eat one in between each period. At night, we would order delivery food. But because you had to order a certain amount to get delivery, I ordered 4 chicken sandwich sets and ate it all."
Later on, Park Ji Hyun showed Sung Si Kyung photos from her high school days. Seeing them, Sung Si Kyung could not prevent a smile from forming on his face, remarking, "It's true. You really do look different. You should probably never post these online. But it's fine. You were just a healthy high school student."
