BTS just dropped their latest release“Permission To Dance.” It is the third English-language single from the band, which is co-written by Ed Sheeran.

BTS members perform the catchy euphoric piece of ear candy, all clad in snazzy cowboy outfits in the music video (MV). Jungkook in particular stands out as always, mainly due to his beautiful vocals and ad-libs, stunning looks and his “emo” hair, as well as his solo dance which is considered the “killing part of the MV.”

Following the MV release, Jungkook trended worldwide at #2 after #PermissionToDance hashtag, the highest-trending BTS member.

Jungkook trended in a total of 81 countries, being the highest-trending member in the U.S, U.K, Canada and Japan at #2.

On Facebook, Jungkook became a popular topic with 1.3 million user mentioning him after the MV release.

Jungkook’s search volume on Google reached the highest, peaking at 100 today following the release. He is also the longest-trending member on Twitter worldwide and U.S. trends, surpassing 1.7 million mentions. 

Jungkook’s solo dance part stuns everyone. K-netizens named it as the “killing part of the MV” and praised Jungkook as a true pop-star material for executing it perfectly like a scene from a musical. Couple of posts were trending on the ‘HOT’ section on Korean online community theqoo. Weibo biggest K-pop platform ”韩国me2day” also posted about Jungkook trended the highest following the MV release and his solo dance part which garnered attention from both fans and non-fans.

It is said that Jungkook paid homage to Michael Jackson’s song “Smooth Criminal” through his solo dance part, as his spin resembles the one which the late Michael Jackson did in his song. Jungkook executed it perfectly.

Fans couldn’t stop raving about Jungkook’s stunning “emo” look during his part. Not only that, he captured non-fans’ attention too, as per usual. DJ and Journalist Gui Tintel tweeted, “Can someone tell me what this man’s name is?” with a screenshot of Jungkook from the MV.
