On May 6, boy group SHAX confirmed that their scheduled appearance on this week's episode of KBS2's 'Music Bank' has been cancelled.
The group announced via its official SNS:
"We were recently notified that a staff member who was present on the set of a program featuring SHAX members has tested positive for COVID-19. In order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19, SHAX's performance on KBS's 'Music Bank' tomorrow has been cancelled. We ask fans for their understanding."
The 6-member boy group SHAX is a fictional K-Pop idol group made up of U-KISS's Jun, Yuri, Ahn Jung Hoon, SF9's Hwiyoung and Chani, and ATEEZ's Jongho. The group will be appearing on the upcoming KBS2 drama series, 'Imitation'. Previously on May 6, it was revealed that a back dancer who performed with members of SF9, iKON, and The Boyz during a recording for Mnet's 'Kingdom' earlier this week had tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, all of the competitors of 'Kingdom' have undergone COVID-19 testing, and are limiting schedules while awaiting their results.
Meanwhile, SHAX will be releasing their first comeback single "MALO" later today on May 7 at 12 PM KST.
Glad everyone is getting tested and hope everyone stays safe and healthy.
