Stray Kids' Hyunjin is set to halt all promotions following his bullying controversy.
On February 27, JYP Entertainment announced Hyunjin will be taking an indefinite hiatus. The label stated:
"Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.
We'd like to inform you about Stray Kids Hyunjin's activities. We've already contacted all of the parties involved with Hyunjin's schedule, and we've been coordinating ways to cancel the activities while making sure to prevent as much damage as possible to the other party.
This process took time, so our announcement about Hyunjin's future activities was delayed. Hyunjin will be halting all entertainment activities to self-reflect on his actions.
He sincerely regrets he hurt many people with his inappropriate words during his middle school years. He would like to sincerely apologize to those who were hurt and will do his best to help them heal from their wounds.
We'd like to sincerely apologize for causing worry to the fans."
As previously reported, Hyunjin was accused of being a bully during his school days, and he apologized in a handwritten letter and later personally met with them.

He got off lightly in my opinion, idols have been kicked out of groups for less. You do bad things and they come back to bite you in the ass. He’ll be fine.
I would love to be enlightened I’ve been a kpop fan for over a decade and can’t think of less worse example then a he said, she said about arguement you had as a child with another one with underdeveloped brains.
I can think of couple dumbs ones like Hyuna n Dawn from cube, but at least it was in reaction to behavior that just happened as adults. Also cube did say they wanted them to keep it on the DL so as adults they knew it was a risk.
B.I from Ikon was also because just hypocritical that he was treated so harshly when bing bang has had so many drug n alcohol scandals. YG just suddenly had to care because of everything going on with him n seungri so he was scapegoat.
Even with Jessica from SNSD, it was sketchy as fuck but really just about business n current events still. What makes hyujins so bad is being punished for behavior as a child.
Actually I can think of one that is at least comparable. Jay park getting kicked outta 2pm for past online comments when was younger. So this is just JYP style.
They would kick him out but jyp worked on him a lot so I don’t think they will go that hard on him anyways after all they promoted him the most?and he is the most popular so what’s the point of kicking him out for Jyp?
