BTS member V has been especially quiet these days, but even in this state of inertness, his popularity seems to be growing exponentially. V, who is mind-blowingly popular in Asia and Latin America, has once again proved his title as the 'Prince of the Continent' by topping various rankings in Japan and China.

Japan and China have always been part of the superstar's realm called 'Tae-Tae Land.' V is credited to have played a huge part in the spread of the Hallyu wave in these countries, and it is believed that it is because of him that the Korean entertainment industry has been able to blossom and bloom in these lands.

V, aka Kim Taehyung, ranked "Monthly No. 1" among ALL Korean celebs on Aiman’s (a Chinese big data analysis agency that evaluates the commercial value of celebs in China) for the month of December and ranked #1 on "Korean Artist Fan Activity Index," for 2 consecutive days.

V also boasts never leaving the top spot on the team in Aiman's "Commercial Value Index."

Taehyung is one of the biggest idol in China, with a fanbase that multiplies by the second. With a similar craze engulfing Japan, V continues to make a name and identity for himself sans the benefit of the brand 'BTS.' He keeps proving that his name, in itself, is a brand to reckon with. 

He ranked #1 in the top 10 popular rankings of K-Pop idols on a popular Japanese ranking site and was the only one to surpass 4000 votes to rise to the top of overall idol rankings. 

He also rose to the Top 10 ranking of popular Korean actors in Japan with only a singular role in a drama that was released back in 2017. His role as the playful Hansung left a deep impact on fans. The dramas 'Hwarang; The poet warrior Youth' and 'Itaewon Class' are said to have done exceptionally well in Japan only because V is associated with them.

Taehyung was also crowned as the most popular foreign artist in Japan for 12 consecutive months according to the Twipple Japan celebrity monthly ranking. 

He was also the ONLY overseas artist to have entered the top 10 of Twipple Japan's celebrity ranking for January. No doubt that V is often called the 'Representative of BTS and K-Pop.' 

Every time some content is released, V, who is fondly known as 'Tete' across Japan, and several other keywords related to him take to the top Twipple trends. Even after RUN episodes are aired, everything he does becomes a hot topic of discussion for netizens. 

Japanese fans also religiously listen to his musical releases, and Tete's songs are always topping the charts there. The general public recognizes Kim Taehyung as the 'Musical gem of this decade' and rightfully so. 

For an artist who has no solo promotion in Japan, Taehyung sure does live in the hearts of Japanese people 24/7. It is one thing to be relevant, but V has become a sensation. With such a strong fanbase waiting diligently to support him, only the brightest of green pastures wait for V and his future endeavors.
