BTS’s resident Soccer King Park Jimin drew attention once again.

On November 28, 2020, the Brazilian Football Team Gremio posted on their official Twitter account, a cryptic message with several emojis, one of which is a South Korean flag. The post since then and until now has drawn attention as netizens have one common thing in their minds upon seeing the Korean flag. Netizens thought about none other than the South Korea’s It boy, Park Jimin of Grammy award nominated boy group BTS.

Owing it to Jimin’s worldwide popularity, the post received replies and quotes saying “Jimin no Gremio” which means “Jimin in the Gremio (the team)”.

It is not unknown that one of Jimin’s uncountable and impressive talents is playing football. Jimin grew up playing football since his primary school days and was a member of the football club at school. Jimin has shown this on several different occasions.

In one of the unforgettable episode of Knowing Brothers with BTS, Jimin wowed many viewers with how he showed a glimpse of his football skill.

Further, when asked to draw his growth in four-pic cartoon, Jimin drew himself playing football.

Jimin also played as part of the Idol Pink Team in 2014 Idol StarAthletics Championship (ISAC), in an indoor soccer tournament (futsal) which happened to be one of the biggest highlights of that year’s ISAC.

We also witnessed how good Jimin plays football in several episodes of BTS’s variety shows like Run BTS and In the Soop.

It is not surprising that in the recent Season’s Greetings, Jimin chose “Soccer King” to be his nickname.
