Kang Daniel and KONNECT Entertainment staff commemorated the end of 2020 by participating in the Holt Children’s Services (HCS) campaign, Please Protect Me. Together, they purchased campaign kits and hand sewed around 100 book covers within 2 weeks. Daniel shared, “We participated because we wanted to fill the cold winter that seemed more empty than ever with a little warmth at the end of the year.”
The book covers will be delivered to underprivileged children. Donation proceeds will be used to provide mental and medical care, housing, living, and educational support to those children.
The Holt Children’s Services chairman explained, “We’ll work hard to ensure the children from families at risk are warmly protected through the book covers and donations we received.”
Kang Daniel’s fandom DANITY responded to the news by rushing to donate and buy their own kits, crashing the website in the process.
This act of kindness follows Kang Daniel and KONNECT’s tradition of spreading their good influence in their spare time. Earlier this year, Daniel donated 50 million won to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and had previously donated to the hearing loss welfare organization The Snail of Love. KONNECT had also donated briquettes to Korea’s Coal Bank.

This was such a heart-warming gesture from Daniel and Konnect. Loved this episode.
