It was confirmed that in 2021, there will be a surge of BigHit label groups debuting. While it was originally expected that 2 girl groups would come out, it will actually be 3.
1. Source Music Girls
The Source Music Girl Group will be the first idol group under the label since Gfriend who debuted in January 2015. This group will consist of trainees who are directly under the label.
2. HYBE Girls
Min Heejin will direct this group. There was a trademark fans noticed called “HYBE,” which apparently is an upcoming label that will be made under her supervision. This is going to be a joint project alongside BigHit. And the girls who took part in the Plus Global Auditions will be debut in this girl group.
3. Belift Lab Girls
After I-Land's success, which created the upcoming boy group Enhypen, there will be a female season coming next year. The winners of that season will debut in a new girl group under Belift, a joint label between BigHit & CJE&M.
I-Land 2 is likely to air in the middle of 2021 at the earliest, meaning the group from them will debut at the end of the year. SouMu & HYBE are likely to come first, with one of them debuting as early as Q1 2021.
This will lead to BigHit labels going from having only 1 girl group, to 4 girl groups.
BigHit Labels will also debut boy groups such as Pledis New Boy Group in 2021 & BigHit’s New Boy Group in 2022.
Look forward to the upcoming debuts.
3...? That's quite a lot in ONE year..😲 I wonder what their concepts would be. I just hope they're not something as/more crazy than that virtual counterpart thingy.
