YG Entertainment is engaging in their artists' personally owned businesses from now on.
On March 21, financial analyst Lee Ki Hoon of Hana Financial Investment evaluated YG Entertainment's financial status in midst of the scandal involving Seungri.
The fluctuation of YG Entertainment's stock heavily depends on their artists. It has a major drop in times of controversy, and currently, the agency is going through a major loss due to Seungri. With that said, YG Entertainment plans to intervene in artists' personal businesses from now on to prevent similar issues from occurring again.
Lee stated, "As stated in the official announcement, Seungri's contract has been terminated," and revealed, "In the past, they didn't feel the necessity to take care of the artists' personal businesses but they're reflecting on that now after such issues arose."
Lee continued, "There will be control in this area from now on and they will try to revive trust."
According to Lee, YG artists will also be making more frequent comebacks, about two per year, to rebuild trust with the public.
I don’t know how i feel about this but i kinda agree with their decision even if it’s violation of privacy but at the same time their personal actions can affect the whole company sooo ..
