Police suspect Jung Joon Young, 30, attempted to destroy evidence.
Around 1:30 pm KST on March 22, Jung attended the police investigation at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. The investigation lasted about 9 hours and Jung was out of the building at 10:27 pm KST.
A crowd of reporters asked Jung, "Do you have anything to say to the victims?" "Did you admit to your crime?" and more. To this, Jung simply said, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry."
According to the police, they found an attempt to destroy evidence in 1 of the 3 phones Jung turned in. One of the phones revealed to have undergone a factory reset, meaning everything in the phone has been deleted.
The police failed to revive the data in the factory reset device. However, they're continuing to investigate Jung for the reason behind the reset.
Stay tuned for further updates.
